Known to be one of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Anton%C3%ADn_Dvo%C5%99%C3%A1k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anton\u00edn Dvo\u0159\u00e1k<\/a>&#8216;s favorite pupils, Suk also married Dvo\u0159\u00e1k&#8217;s daughter Otilie (in 1898).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This Andante, written in 1897 as part of the Sonatina in G Minor for piano, later became the first movement in \u2018Four Episodes\u2019. It is an example of Suk\u2019s initial, late Romantic style, clearly influenced by Dvo\u0159\u00e1k.
